Here is a brand identity refresh I recently created for local media consulting business Inkola. What exactly is a “brand identity” vs a brand or a logo, you may ask? Jacob Cass, of justcreative.com offers a nice, succinct explanation:

What is identity? – The visual aspects that form part of the overall brand.
What is a logo? – A logo identifies a business in its simplest form via the use of a mark or icon. Read Jacob’s full article >>
For Inkola’s brand identity makeover, I retained the sans serif font as well as the ink mark to create continuity with the previous logo. Next, I incorporated a more subtle color pallette to create a lighter overall feel. Also, I added a pattern that can be incorporated in future digital and print media – the pattern itself becomes part of the new brand identity.
